Sorry for the brief post last night but I was so shattered and not sure why I updated at all as I had nothing to say! LOL
Did an extra hour again this evening at work and had a hell of a day workwise! Had a run in with the boss and after giving him basically the silent treatment for the last couple of hours this afternoon and then letting him have it after L had left. Okay some of it could come down to hormones but I a couple of comments he had made to me earlier had really pissed me off! And I told him so in no uncertain terms whilst bawling my eyes out I should add... but all is sorted now which is good.
We have heaps to do this weekend as we have my rescan on Saturday morning (to recheck a couple of pics that they were unable to get at my 20wk scan) at 10.30am and then its straight up to Mums on the Kapiti Coast to have lunch with her and my sister as it is Dad's 4th anniversary on Saturday. And we will also be doing the Christmas Draw for the adults so we can be organised for this year - as this will be the first Christmas in over 5 years since all of us 6 kids and their partners and their kids will be together so a few of us wanted to be organised gift wise :) Especially us as we want to get as much of our christmas shopping done before I go on Parental Leave and we are down on one income...
Then on Sunday I am hoping to catch up with a friend of mine who only has 7 1/2 weeks to go till she has her first bubs (she is also expecting a girl) and we haven't seen each other since just after my 12 week scan as we have both been busy so I can't wait to see Jo :)
Anyway, still got 3 days of work to get through till the weekend so guess I had better get through those days first :)
Catch ya all later

Gosh you do sound busy busy! Hope you get time to put your feet up too at some stage in the next few days. :-)
Gosh...talking about christmas already! I can't believe we are over halfway there already! Feels like Xmas 2005 was yesterday! Hope you have a great scan on Sat and you get lots of lovely pics of your wee girl!
I was going to say the say as Lou - christmas already!!?? But you raise a good point about the parental leave, as I'll be in the same boat, so theres another thing on my list to think about soon!!
Good on you for telling your boss how you feel too, even if it was through a veil of tears - things will just continue or get worse if you don't let them know you feel.
Happy hump-day!
You are so organised! :o)
But thats a good thing....it will give you more time to concentrate on baby at what can be a really hectic time of year.
I had my first baby in mid November and didn't get organised before hand for Christmas. With all the baby thank you's etc, and the time consuming affair that is *establishing breastfeeding*, it ended up being Christmas Eve and I only had half my shopping done!
Second baby I wasn't taking chances......he was due in September but by golly I got my Christmas Shopping done first! LOL.
I don't know how other people have found it, but Parental Leave and the sacrifices due to less disposable income didn't end up being as difficult as I'd anticipated. So long as I had enough for coffee out (and cakes because breastfeeding demands cake!) a few times a week I felt I had everything I needed :o) We got videos instead of going to the Movies for the first few months. I cooked more in bulk to save time and also ended up saving a few pennies! Like you, I joined the library. Just made sure I bought nice new season shoes and a six month supply of lovely bathtime treats with my last pay cheque!
Good on you for letting your boss know how you feel. Hard enough being pregnant and having to work extra hours without putting up with annoying comments!!!
Hope the rest of your week goes well. I look forward to your updates even if you do reckon you have nothing to say!!! :o)
